October 2010 Issue
Happy Halloween
Letter from the Editor
Dear *|FNAME|*,
Halloween is coming right around the corner and I look forward to it every year for the loads and loads of candy! Last year I dressed up
as a ghostbuster so maybe this year I will go as slimer.
I've put together a training class that I think finally has everything in one class: theory, practical application, and software for
real labs and exercises. I'm calling it the 'SI Rock Star' class and I'm offering the first public class December 6-8 in Santa Clara. Read
below for more!
Finally if anyone is going to be in North Carolina next week be sure to stop by and say hi as we are going to have a booth at PCB
Carolina 2010.
Best Regards,

Timothy Coyle, President, Signal Consulting Group LLC
Be An SI Rock Star
Signal Consulting Group Updates
I'm launching a new training class called 'SI Rock Star' that I think is going to be really awesome. I combined theory with practial examples over 3 days
and I'm throwing in free software and some of our books and other material all for just $1895 per student. Each student will get a one year node locked license
for our new SharkSim PCB software for Signal Integrity that will allow you to practice what you have just learned. I'm also going to throw in our IBIS modeling
book as well as some of our other SharkSim software products so it's a really great deal.
Use the link below to read more about the class and sign up to reserve your spot today. I only have 20 spaces and they are going to go fast!

New Product Mix
SharkSim News
I have been developing different Signal Integrity tools under the SharkSim brand for the last year and a half and I finally put together an offical
product roadmap and broken the product mix down into usage categories. I won't list them all out here but go check out the new features page on SharkSim
website to see the full details.

I will mention that I have the beta ready for our new Signal Integrity simulation tool called SharkSim PCB. This gives you a schematic based tool to enter your
topology and run simulation with a SPICE engine like HSPICE or even PSPICE. I think it's going to be a great cost effective tool for engineers to do pre-layout
analysis for Signal Integrity.

PCB Carolina 2010
Training & Events
I am going to be presenting at PCB Carolina 2010 next week on October 5th about using models and metrics for getting your
Signal Integrity simulations right. I posted the presentation up on our website if anyone who can't make it to the event
wants to review it.
